Biography / Artist statement

Victoria Nathanson is a Putney-based painter and illustrator of the natural world, often depicting animals and significant objects often set within a landscape. She also paints clock faces. She works in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pen and ink, crayon and pastel. She also illustrates, taking on a wide variety of commissions. At present she is writing and illustrating a book on grief as well as an alphabet book for children.

Why do you love Wandsworth?

I love walking in Wandsworth Park and along the river. I draw great strength from the noble double avenue of lime and plane trees there and feel that these spaces help our spirits to flourish. I also like all the friendly people I meet in our borough.
