Drink and Draw Life Drawing sessions with DrawSW15. A friendly drawing group based in an Edwardian pub, The Cats Back, with a relaxing chilled atmosphere and fun vibes! All levels are welcome, with total beginners encouraged and advanced artists challenged. Life drawing sessions are hosted by Diana an artist / tutor for adults with learning disabilities, with an art therapy background and love for inspiring creativity in others. An ideal place and opportunity to lose yourself in a creative activity, develop a new skill and meet like-minded local Wandsworth artists, as well enjoying a drink, whilst unwinding at the end of the day. Sessions run for two hours with a break mid way and are composed of a variety of quick fire poses and short to long poses, as well as, some fun interesting challenges thrown in from time to time! We work with professional male and female life models - some dramatic, some classical and some themed models. A new model every week to challenge observational skills. Some guidance given for those who want some direction, however, sessions are generally untutored, therefore allowing for total undisturbed creative time. There’s no limits to you expressing yourself creatively in this class. The upstairs room at The Cats Back accommodates up to 20 people and is on a first come first serve basis. It is advised you email in advance to confirm your attendance or arrive in good time to find your spot. Drawing materials and A3 paper provided, or feel free to bring your own.
