Putney School of Art and Design was originally founded in 1883, and has been in Oxford Road, Putney since 1895. The school has a superb life drawing studio, complete with vast north-facing windows and vaulted wooden ceiling. The school holds over 100 courses, including painting, printmaking, drawing, ceramics, digital design and photography courses for beginners, experienced students and mixed ability sessions. The school also runs family learning for parent and child working together, Kids Art clubs and courses for young people aged 14-17 years. With its roots firmly in the local community, excellent transport links have helped PSAD to attract students from all over London and beyond.
