Biography / Artist statement

Kirsten Mitchell is a London-based photographer, originally from Monterrey, Los Angeles, San Francisco, who has been shooting for various artists and of the locals. As an artist, Kirsten strives to capture all kinds of people in different parts of the world and hearing their stories.

Mitchell enjoy photographing the lives of people going about their daily lives and following their cultures, customs and traditions. Mitchell prefers to capture meaningful photos of her connections with people throughout her travels and she like to reflect this in her work; in the meantime Mitchell studies at University of Roehampton for the next two years. Through her photographs and other art forms she wants others to become aware of the environment, promotion, customs, challenges and daily lives of people throughout the world. A high point in Mitchell’s career was travelling to Nepal. She focuses on moments like human consequences, taking not only images of people's families or homes, but rather on where they are or their job.

Kirsten Mitchell’s goal is to inspire people to believe in themselves, to strive to fulfill their passions and to instill hope that through dedication and hard work they can achieve their dreams.
