Claire is a screen print Artist based in south London. Claire grew up in the Far East where the melting pot of many different cultures greatly influenced her use of colour and subject matter. Her current inspiration comes from the worlds biggest film industry, Bollywood. At present she is developing a range of work inspired by vintage Bollywood iconography circa 1980 that she screen prints on to multiple media including paper and large wooden panels. This catalogue of work celebrates the vibrant, ornate and lavish aesthetic sensibility of the imagery associated with popular Indian cinema. Her years in the UK have also inspired other bodies of work which reflect the subtle tones and colours of living in England and London. There is a different kind of beauty in the greens and blues here.
