A friend once suggested that Chris have a go at pottery and she loved it from the first class. She went on, first to share a studio and now she is lucky to have her own garden studio. She's enjoyed several pottery tours to Central Asia and, especially, China and had the chance to visit a range of potters from simple village potters to master craftsmen and women. The love of ceramics everywhere was apparent and it was inspiring to see the variety of work from the traditional to the very innovative and individual. Much of her work is influenced by these experiences. She works both in stoneware and mixed stoneware/earthenware and loves experimenting with new forms, every piece of work being unique.
