Biography / Artist statement

Having studied Fine Art at Winchester School of Art followed by a Curatorial MA at the RCA, Angela's creative career path led to a merry dance from formal gallery directorships, to Art Critic for the Sunday Times and Sunday Tribune out of their Dublin offices, to a career in interiors curating bodies of work for a range of Hospitality, Workplace and Commercial spaces.

Painting and running corporate fine art workshops for the architectural industry in particular has sustained Angela's practice, who is inspired everyday by the beauty of our natural world. The rugged landscape of her Irish home with heavy horizons, majestic seas and gorse filled mounds to the simple form of a leaf or bud in a vase that can be so beautifully captured with the free-flowing medium of watercolour. Chasing that material, challenging the pigment and capturing the essence of the subject is a pure joy.

Why do you love Wandsworth?

The energy alongside the palpable feeling that we could be in a series of villages, it's a haven.
