Happy Streets Festival 2024

This year’s Happy Streets Festival on Saturday 6 July will again bring free music, dance and family entertainment to venues around Thessaly Road!
Join us on Saturday 6 July for the fifth Happy Streets Festival at three venues in and around Thessaly Road including St George’s School, The R.O.S.E Community Clubroom and the Ascalon Ball Court.
With six hours of live performances on and off stage, crafts and activities, wellbeing sessions, play spaces and information stalls from 12noon to 6pm – don’t miss the local family highlight of the summer.
Free and open to all, this year’s Happy Streets Festival around Thessaly Road, SW8, has something for everyone.
Find your Happy at:
Ascalon Ball Court with some relaxing breathing workshop with Steph or basketball from the FAST London Youth Sports team;
The R.O.S.E Community Clubroom for some art and craft workshops with paint your own Happy Caps from PiNS, a Nine Elms art session with Scene in London and Ayana’s Jade’s enchanting multisensory wellbeing experience. And if you get peckish make your own pizza in the garden;
And head over to St George’s if you want to enjoy some moves, grooves and beats from World Heart Beat, Kinetika Bloco, Carribbe Steel Pans and the BAC Beatboxers Academy or join in some dance workshops and get out your best dance moves with MACS Dance, The Bollywood Co, SASalsa, and the interactive disco with MovementWorks or soothing dance with E33 Dance.
Inside the school, join Chocolate Films and their interactive video booth to be a part of a final film for Wandsworth Council!
In the playground look out for facepainting, underwater mural with Felicity Prazak, Creative joy with Nine Elms Arts Ministry, the Wandsworth Detached Youth Bus gaming, music and podcasting, and football games and boxing with FAST London. Look out for pop up performances from Blink Dance Theatre, Bureau of Silly Ideas and the Divine Stilt Walkers. And check out the stalls including 575 Wandsworth Road, make your own smoothie using pedal power and a number of activities with St George’s Nine Elms Church.
Get out and about and explore the local area with the Thessaly Road Four Artists Stroll led by Jeanne Rathbone (meet at the Oasis Playspace) or join History Speak on an Art & Architecture Walking Tour of Battersea and Nine Elms. (meeting point at Nine Elms Tube Station).
