Simon Occleshaw
Biography / Artist statement
Simon Occleshaw is a printmaker living and working in South West London. Growing up running around the woods of Wendover and Wiltshire, he developed a love of the endless patterns found in nature. As part of honeymoon travels, he and his wife spent a magical couple of weeks in Japan, which left an indelible mark on his imagination. His linocut prints are intricately constructed, often combining multiple delicate layers to create highly evocative scenes. As well as linocut printing he can also be found screen printing, making papercuts and many other arty activities with technical elements to them. He has studied at Putney School of Art and Design, London Print Studio & The Art Academy.
