Biography / Artist statement

Sarah spent 25 years as a Senior Book Designer at Thames and Hudson, working with many artists, designers and photographers. She joined Slaughterhaus Print Studio, Stockwell in 2016 and is now able to concentrate on her artistic work full time.

She completed an MA in Fine Art at the University of the Arts London in 2010. She draws regularly at the British Museum and studied with The Royal Drawing School for five years every Friday.

She is interested in the presence of the mark, inscriptions, writing, the image as a means of recovery and sees drawing as navigational tool. She is concerned with evidencing her experience of being in the world and exploring ways of making things as markers of feeling and thinking.
