Biography / Artist statement
Sally Booth is a Tooting based artist specialising in drawing and painting. Her recent projects have included drawing on all the lines of the Underground. Now instead of depicting the hustle and bustle of the crowds she has been focusing on deserted stations and platforms. Sally has made site specific 3D drawing installations on the South Bank, Trafalgar Square and Brighton Pavilion Gardens. Sally has many years experience facilitating arts workshops and one to one and group teaching with adults and children and families. Most recently this has developed into running outdoor art classes in Tooting. She has delivered artist talks and shown her work at Tate Modern, the Scottish Parliament, the Bluecoat in Liverpool and Shetland Museum. Sally's local projects have included drawing residencies at AELTC Wimbledon, Merton Abbey Primary School and as an artist on the Tooting Stall Stories project at Tooting Market with Furzedown School.
