He studied at Camberwell School of Art followed by a Fine Art Degree at The Kent Institute of Art and Design at Canterbury, where he developed his interest the landscape. Paul's work has been inspired by journeys through London and Wandsworth itself. These include travelling by train to and from his studio, where he sees vistas across the London landscape and in particular Wandsworth landmarks such as Battersea Power station and views around Clapham Junction. His work ranges in size from smaller more intimate images to large scale canvas paintings.
