Biography / Artist statement

Liz Mundle is a Professor of Modern History of Art and a mixed media artist who has shown her work in many open exhibitions such as Discerning Eye, Pastel Society, National Open Art, London Group Open and shortlisted for the Royal Academy Summer show, Columbia Threadneedle Prize and the RWA Open exhibition.

All her work draws on personal experiences, especially her travels and mixed race family. Recently, in response to the COVID-19 situation, she has been working in watercolour on her relationship with nature, which has proved to be a saving grace.

Why do you love Wandsworth?

I love the diversity in the borough and the fact that you can easily access museums and galleries.
