Jonquil is a representational artist painting original contemporary still life and landscape in oil. Her paintings are inspired initially by the colours she observes, although she does allow the mark making and textures created by the paint to inform the image. Her focus is the sense of place or sense of an object, rather than a literal interpretation of it. She is part of the vibrant creative community of over 250 artists, makers and designers based at Wimbledon Art Studios near Earlsfield.
