Francesco Marongiu
Biography / Artist statement
Francesco Marongiu is an Italian artist currently living and working in London. His work explores religion, social identity and the environment especially in regards of human impact on the planet. After his studies in Arts and Humanities at the University of Bologna, Francesco began to develop his analogue photography skills. He has worked in theatre companies, at contemporary dance and music festivals across Italy, England, and Spain. His photography education has been built through workshops and 15 years of photography research. Recently, he assisted Robert Freeman, who is famous for his album cover photos for The Beatles and his Pirelli Calendar. Commercially, Francesco hasaworked as a storyteller for corporate companies, he is specialised in a fresh, contemporary corporate and commercial photography, including head shots, his cut brings a unique angle to brand imagery. Francesco has exhibited his work in collective (CGP London, Bedroom Artists) and solo shows (Polskie Zdjęcia solo show: Willesden Green Gallery, POSK) in London, and recently a work from my recent artistic research has been selected for Royal Academy Exhibition 2022.
