Biography / Artist statement

Eva Oosterlaken is a Dutch-American designer based in Rotterdam and London. She recently graduated with a double Master's in Global Innovation Design from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London. Her design practice is multidisciplinary, working across strategic innovation, digital experiences and visual communication. Eva is passionate about collaborative design that enables an inclusive future created more democratically, focusing on topics like place, civic engagement and citizenship.
In December 2019 she created a public installation in Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn, NY that illustrated community voices on their future dreams for the park. In July 2020 she launched the project 'Citizens in the Making', a digital tool designed to make it easier and relevant for young people to get started with social action (live at www.citizensinthemaking.com). In August 2020 she created Visual Minutes for three sessions for the Wandsworth Arts and Culture Strategy.
