Biography / Artist statement
Galvina is a spanish figurative painter based in London. Graduated in Fine Art and Art History at the University of Seville, Galvina is interested in rescuing old symbols of Art History to adapt them to the new current values. Cristina criticizes the society in which we live, injustices and self-respect based on historical icons. She is interested in the roots, our essence and giving voice to everything that is silent but powerful. Also, she is fascinated by the role of women in general, her strengths and weaknesses, her struggles and her eternal punishment by the society.
