Biography / Artist statement

Anna Dighero is a dance artist and choreographer based in London. She has created works in collaboration with Imperial College London, London College of Fashion and the Royal College of Music and was a member of the ‘Mess Arounds’ lindy hop company. Anna wants to find humour within dance and movement. She loves working in non-theatre environments and finding ways to embody the unexpected. She currently works with ATMA Dance Company and is a producer with the Fi.ELD/East London Dance. She is part of a theatre/clown group facilitated by Amy Gwilliam and recently completed a month of research into ‘Home as a Performance Space’ with Caroline Salem. She also co-creates ‘The Transatlantic Splicing Project’ with Kati Payne – an online research session focused on ways of combining digital content. Most recently, Anna has been exploring the use of audio to guide outdoor/site specific experiences. She is producing the Street Movement Project with East London Dance as part of this research, and hopes to continue exploring how the intimacy of audio can accentuate live performance.
