OPEN HOUSES 2019 - mosaics
Annie collects unusual objects, which are often the source of inspiration for an art piece. She works in mosaic, painting, textiles and collage.
Southfields Lawn Tennis Club, Gressenhall Road, SW18 1PQ
Lucinda creates a multitude of people from her imagination. Whether in oil or gouache paint, prints or mosaic, faces peer out from every surface. Imaginary figures enjoy each other's company and nuances of feelings pass between them. There are framed and unframed works, cards and prints to buy and even some jigsaw puzzles. The garden is spacious and welcoming. Sit by the pond and enjoy some autumn sun under the olive and medlar trees. Tea and cake will be served.

Jenny creates hand-built, sculptural ceramics mainly from paper clay and will be showing a variety of pieces in her garden. Over the past two years she has also created a number of small and medium-sized ceramic sculptures, which she has decorated with mosaic, including her large collection of coloured, metallic, wood, glass and plastic buttons. These quirky pieces vary between vibrant primary colours to black and metallic. She has also used her collection of buttons and tiles to create a limited edition of small mosaic pictures with black frames.
In addition to her ceramic pieces, Jenny will be showing a wide variety of textiles. There will be a range of hand-knitted scarves in a wide selection of luxury and unusual yarns. There will be a new range of scarves based on the idea of the tatter jackets warn by Morris Men.
