Information for Visitors

Wandsworth Artists’ Open House is a great way to meet artists in an informal and relaxed setting.

It can be a real magical mystery tour around your own local area, with a fantastic and surprising range of artworks on show. You may discover artists demonstrating special techniques or offering hands-on making activities for the whole family – find out about the events and workshops taking place on this page. From working studios, garden sheds and front rooms you are guaranteed a warm reception and a great day out.

Don't forget this is also an excellent opportunity to buy art for your own home – buying directly from the artists rather than a gallery means you can enjoy artworks at very reasonable prices.

On this website you can browse through the artists taking part and plan your own personalised trail of houses to visit – just click the stars on your favourite listings and then select the 'Your Trail' tab to print out the details. You can also create a trail based on the area you want to visit – just type in a postcode and a list of nearby houses will appear.

You can collect printed guides specific to each local trail from libraries across the borough and other local venues. On the day of the event look out for posters in windows or balloon-festooned gates which will signpost an Open House. This year you can vote for your favourite Open House – the winner will receive free registration for next year's event – ask an artist for a feedback form on your visit. Enjoy!
