Black Future, a new film by Kay Rufai
Photographer, poet, author and mental health researcher, Kay Rufai, has recently developed ‘Black Future’, the poem commissioned by the Council for Black History Month, into a new film that is tender and powerful in equal measure.
Rufai has described his new work as “a poetic film that follows the journey of a black boy, immersed in the realities of the present, the weight of the pains and turmoil of the past as he dares to re-imagine a future where Black folx can ignite the fire of a dream while opening their eyes to live it to the fullest.”
